You Are BMPAA!

Without the support of many volunteers, we could not raise the necessary funds to support our students.Regardless of whether you have an hour or a day to give, BMPAA has volunteer opportunities to suit your busy schedule. Please consider serving as a volunteer at one of the many events we run throughout the school year. We use an online tool for volunteer registration, so you can review the various volunteer opportunities and choose the one that is right for you.

Volunteer Opportunities:

BHS Football Concessions at Hurd Stadium

A large portion of the funds we raise yearly comes from the concessions stand at Hurd Stadium. BMPAA runs the concessions stand for each BHS home game. This is a large undertaking and requires many volunteers at each game to reach our revenue goals for the season.
Volunteer commitment per game:
2-hour time slots for set-up, 2-4 hour time slots for selling,
2-hour time slots for clean-up.

Fall Play Concessions/Spring Musical Concessions

Each year, at the Fall Play and Spring Musical, BMPAA runs the concessions stands. The Fall Play requires a smaller amount of volunteers, while the Spring Musical concessions needs volunteers to sell refreshments, work the 50/50 raffle, and advertise any upcoming events.
Volunteer commitment for each performance:
1-hour time slots for set-up, 3-hour time slots for selling and breakdown,
3-hour commitment for 50/50 raffle volunteers.

Event Volunteers

BMPAA events are held throughout the school year. Each event is run by a committee. BMPAA board members serve as the committee chairs for events and will recruit committee members outside the board according to the needs of the event. Volunteers can join an event committee or serve as an event volunteer. Serving on a committee is a great way to meet other volunteers and parents! Guidelines for volunteer commitments are listed under each event.

Smaller Events (such as a Comedy Night, Trivia Night or Ice Cream Socials)

Our smaller events vary each year. Please check back to our website often for updates on smaller events.
Volunteer Commitment: Committee members usually meet according to the schedules of committee members for one-two months prior to the event and are expected to be at the event to help. Event volunteers are expected to be at the event the entire time to help with set up, tickets, raffles and clean up.

Winter Dance

Our Annual Winter Dance is an adults-only event with a fun theme, live band, raffles and silent auction. This is a larger committee with members expected to reach out to the community for donations for the raffles and silent auction. Themes at past Winter Dances have included a Winter Luau and a Salute to the 80’s.
Volunteer Commitment: Committee members usually meet two-three months prior to the event. Event volunteers are asked to commit to 2-4 hour time slots during the event to set up, collect tickets, run raffles, monitor the silent auctions, and clean up.

Marketing and Public Relations Volunteers

Do you have an expertise in marketing for social media? We are always in need of volunteers who can help with marketing creation and facilitation of solicitation letters, thank you notes, flyers, social media postings, website update, and preparing and distributing press releases.
Volunteer Commitment: This is a very flexible time commitment, and can be arranged in coordination with the BMPAA Board Marketing Chair.

Spring Music Department Awards Banquet

BMPAA sponsors this annual event. Volunteers are needed for set-up, check-in and clean-up. Volunteers are needed for 2-3 hour time slots.

BMPAA Board of Directors

Want to get really involved? Consider applying to serve on the Beverly Music & Performing Arts Board of Directors. The BMPAA Board meets the first Wednesday of every month and once during the summer. Board members chair events, manage marketing and public relations, assist with the marching band for home games and parades, and monitor the fiscal activities of the Beverly Music & Performing Arts Association. Available Board positions and applications are announced in late spring for the following fiscal year. If you are interested in serving on the BMPAA Board, please feel free to reach out to us at BMPAA1@gmail.com.

Donation Outreach

We are always in need of volunteers for outreach to our community businesses for Sponsorships, In-Kind Donations such as Gift Cards and Services.
Volunteer Commitment: Very flexible. Donation volunteers are asked to commit to a total of at least 5 hours of outreach.
